Our 14 Day Itinerary in Sri Lanka

Day 1: This is your arrival date. Our representative will welcome you to the Katunayaka Airport. Then we will carry you to a hotel in Negombo for the overnight stay.

Day 2: It’s the day for sightseeing in Negombo. The city is situated in the coastal area, which is closest to Katunayaka Airport. Therefore, many tourists visit there. You will visit Negombo Fish Market as your first location. Negombo has a few beautiful beaches that are ideal for beachgoers.

Day 3: From Negombo, you will travel to Anuradhapura. It is a few hours’ journey. Anuradhapura, the ancient city, is one of the six UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka. Furthermore, Anuradhapura is a place where you can see many ancient ruins and tanks. We will take you to the Atamastana and other interesting places in the city.

Day 4: Depart from Sigiriya for Polonnaruwa Ancient City.It is another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. where you can also see so many ancient ruins and stupas. The day will end after you get back to your hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 5: You will climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the early morning. It is considered the 8th world wonder in the world. Sigiriya is another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka. The architecture, technology, and ancient paintings are wonderful to see. After the hike, you will travel to Kandy.

Day 6: This is the day you will go sightseeing in Kandy. Your first visiting location is the shopping complex. Then you will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. It is a world-renowned Buddhist pilgrimage site. Later, you will visit Kandy View Point, where you can observe scenic pictures of the city.

Day 7: On the 7th day of your Sri Lanka 14 Day itinerary, Today, you will visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is a nice place to see Sri Lankan elephants and their babies. On the tour, you will visit a few temples around Kandy. Later in the day, you will come back to your hotel in Kandy City.

Day 8: On this day, you will travel from Kandy to Adam’s peak. It is the 4th highest mountain in Sri Lanka, with a height of 2243m. Then you will climb Adam’s Peak. It is a nice place for a hike in Sri Lanka. This place is significant for all the religions that climb this mountain with high devotion. Your overnight stay will be in a hotel near Adam’s Peak.

Day 9: You will travel from Adam’s Peak to Nuwara Eliya. The route is absolutely beautiful with greenish tea plantations. Devon Falls and St. Clair’s Falls are the two scenic waterfalls that can be seen during this trip. Your overnight stay will be at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 10: In the morning, you will visit Horton Plains National Park. It is the highest-elevation forest area in the country. Furthermore, it is a superb spot to see mountainous plants and wild animals. As well, it is a great spot for trekking in Sri Lanka. World End is one of the most attractive places on the Horton Plains. You will visit Ella City in the late afternoon on this day.

Day 11: It’s the day to visit major tourist attractions in the Ella area. You will visit Little Adma’s Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. Then you will travel to the Yala area. Ravana Ella Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall that you can observe during this trip.

Day 12: In the morning of this day, you will visit Yala National Park. It is the second largest national park in the country, which is a superb spot to see Sri Lankan Leopards. After the safari tour, you will visit Mirissa and Coconut Tree Hills.

Day 13: You will do a whale watching tour in the early part of this day. Mirissa is a superb spot to watch whales in Sri Lanka. Then you will travel to Bentota. There are so many activities for tourists in the Bentota area.

Day 14: This is your departure date. You will conclude your Sri Lanka two-week itinerary with us. We will drop you off in Colombo or at the Katunayaka Airport.
